FaItH SoNg Blog Hop

Hello Friends!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I am so glad you came to join me and my blog hop friends for worship! We are here to glorify God in song! :)

We all chose a Christian song that is meaningful to us and made a project that would represent this song.

This is a song that I was taught by our neighbors when I was younger. On June 3, 1980 we had 7 tornados rip through our town. Our neighbors did not have a basement so they came over to our house. The main thing I remember about that night is not being afraid or being alone. I remember singing this song all night long and having fun even with everything that was happening outside. We would sing louder and faster until we messed up and then we would start over again.

The next day we realized that one of the tornados came down the street just 1 house away from us. That night 5 lives were lost many more were injured and millions of dollars in property was destroyed. One house was completely gone except for an end table with a bible sitting on it. A company sign for "Christensen Concrete" was gone except for the letters spelling "Christ".

I still sing this song and am teaching it to the grandkids also.

My project is a word book spelling Christian. The principal at my grandkids school is having a birthday September 29th (which if anyone is interested is also my birthday) and this book will be a gift to him.
Here is the line-up in case you get lost and I don't want you to miss any of the terrific designers and their wonderful stories and creations.

Your book is BEAUTIFUL, just like you. You did a wonderful job on it and I'm sure he will love it with all his heart. The song really must have saved you on that horrible night and I can see why. I think it's gonna be stuck in my head all day. LOL
I'm very blessed to be hopping with you.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G book. The detail is wonderful. I wish I could make something like that! The song was so much fun I listened to it twice. It is amazing that music can be such a gift to us during those trying times. Thank you for sharing this and making me smile today.

Be blessed today and always,

I love your mini album and your story is amazing. God is so good isn't he. He's always there when we need we only have to ask. I think your mini album is a good way to remind ourselves of that.

This was one of the songs we used to sing in the car with the children, faster and faster until we couldn't spell the words any more.

Oh WOW!!! It's the simple songs that stand the test of time. It also doesn't matter if it's complex because if you have the power of CHRIST in you, NOTHING and NO ONE can stop you!

I love, love, love the book. You did an awesome job with it.

TFS and be blessed my scrappy sister!
