Party Treats

It is time to start auditioning holders for the kids Halloween treats.
These are the very first for 2013.
I really like the envelope holders. They are just the right size for a smaller candy. I used some of the new jute string from 3 Girl JAM behind the little rossette. The little image is from the Pink by Design Guess Who stamp set. She is perfect for a 6 year old girl.

The box is a little too big for Halloween treats. If I put a mini candy bar in there it would get lost. I used Tuxedo Black crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM around the top and really like how it finished off the box. The little pumpkin is also from Pink by Design Guess Who stamp set and is very cute but an 8 year old boy might think he is too baby-ish. So this holder may be saved to give to another little boy.

I am entering my treat holders in 3 Girl JAM's 2 Year Celebration Hop. Be sure to check it out.

Almost Halloween??

Is Halloween almost here? I have had it on the brain for a while now.
My first project is using Witch Mercedes from Simply Betty Stamps for her facebook challenge. I also added some of my favorite ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.
My next project was a joint effort with my boss. She made the court house step blocks for the top and bottom and I appliqued the cute little trick or treating ghost and then put it all together.
Last but not least has nothing to do with Halloween but is a cutie anyway. This is one of the projects I made during my time working at the state fair. I embroidered a Loralie design on this kitchen towel. I have Loralie fabric and embroidery designs and one of these days I WILL have some of her stamps.

PTI August Blog Hop

This weekend was Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-faire and I was so disappointed that I could not participate. It has been such a crazy weekend. Today, however, was the August Blog Hop and I am just coming in under the wire. InLinkz says there is 31 minutes until closing time.

The sketch and color combo I chose are below.
Here is the card I made. I used the Wonderful Words: Thank You stamp set along with the PTI cardstock colors listed in the photo above.
Yes I know that the paper clip and edge punch were not part of the sketch but they sure do look cute. lol

Dance a Little Jig

TGIM (Thank Goodness It's Monday)
This weekend has been crazy busy with work, class and the grands. Not much time left to play in the craft cave.
I am so looking forward to a slower week.

It is all about the green over on the Challenge Blog and I am playing along.

This happy guy has been enjoying his green beer a little too much. lol He is from the PKS February 2012 STOM.

3GJ Goblin Green ribbon is the perfect touch for this St Patty's Day card.
I hope you all have a fun week.

Love my Job

Gotta say some days I really love my job.

I have 3 different jobs at 2 fabulous stores and have to confess that 95% of the time I totally LOVE my jobs. My first job is sales at a local Sew and Vac. One of the up-sides to this job is being able to make things like this soft and cuddly baby quilt.
My second job at the same store is teaching Bernina owners classes. One of the projects from a couple weeks ago is this cute pin cushion jar.
I also had a class a while back making a "Picnic Quilt" and yesterday Anna (one of the ladies that took the class) came in for me to teach her how to finish the binding. She was so excited that she was finishing her first quilt and she did such an amazing job on it.
My third job, I started about 2 months ago, at one of the local quilt shops. The owner of the shop is the local coordinator for "Project Linus". In between cutting fabric I get to do quite a bit of sewing there also and my 1st project was a "Project Linus" quilt.
See I have the best of both worlds and that is why I LOVE my jobs. Now I just need to get a 4th job at a scrapbook shop and I would totally have it made.

Mustache Mania

WOW has it seriously been an entire month since my last post?

I hope you have been enjoying the first half of our
that started on Friday. Be sure to also join in on the second half starting this coming Friday.

I am so very honored to be in the company of all these extremely talented and creative artists!!
The project I was "Inspired" to make was a late treat for my Valentine. My family had a few hard personal things we had to deal with around the holiday and nobody was really thinking about chocolates and flowers at the time. Hubby's birthday was the day before Valentine's and I even forgot to wish him Happy Birthday. I felt so bad.

I covered a State Line bag with all the mustache stamps from TAWS "Mustache Mania" stamp set and replaced the ties with London Blue crinkle ribbon. The bag is filled with yummy Sixlets candies.

You & Me

I have been having so much fun with these State Line bags (new in the 3 Girl JAM store) They come in a size for any need. I also used a little Glossy Accents to add some Valentine Flair to my bag perfect for any hubby and tied some White crinkle ribbon on the top.
All the stamping was done using The Stamps of Life "Hearts2DieFor" stamp set.
3 Girl JAM's challenge happening right now is all about

Valentine Bag

One Valentine down and 3 more to go.
I was going to enter this little cutie in the PKS challenge this week.
Just now as I am writing this post I realize the sad fact that I am not very good at reading and following the rules. DUH
It is a very good thing that I still have tomorrow night to work on an entry for this challenge. It is also a very good thing that I caught it before I linked it up. lol

Clothes Pin Note Holder

I hope everyone has been having a restful and creative weekend.
This week the MIM challenge is Layered Embossing and some new goodies came in the big brown truck so of course it was time to play with them.

I used Papertrey Ink's Framed Out #12 stamps and die, white, red and clear embossing powder, an alpine fabrics heart button, studio g glitter glue and some fabulous Sterling 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon to make this really cute tag.

So once the tag was made the question was... What do I use it on? A few years ago I made some clothes pin note holders for my grandson's teachers and every since have wanted to make one for my desk but just never got around to it. Well this weekend was the time and it turned out great.

The glitter glue frame was made by placing the finished tag under an acetate sheet and tracing it with the glue on top of the acetate with the glitter glue. Let it dry over night and presto a glitter glue frame. Just a note this does not work with Stickles (it is too thin) Studio g is a very thick glue so it works great.
I painted the clothes pin with black chalkboard paint and attached the tag with glue dots. Wrapped some 3 Girl JAM Holly Berry crinkle ribbon around the bottom and attached the charms I made of my grand kids with 3D glue dots. If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you know that my life revolves around my 4 grandkids. :-)

Happy Monday Everyone!

Have you all heard the fantastic news??
Have you seen the new additions to the 3 Girl JAM store?
State Line Bags for any occasion!
Head over to the store and check them out!

My project for today would make adorable party favors for any scrappy party but since there are not many scrappy get-togethers around here I made these for a couple friends.
Instead of filling these little treat cups up with sugary treats they are filled with yummy crinkle ribbon. They each have a cute Love Flair Button to make them even more special.

The adorable faces are from
PKS-440 Cute & Cuddly

MIM 100 Packaging Oversized Cards

Wow I have to say the Make It Monday challenge this week was so much fun!
They have all been taking me a little outside of my norm and I am really liking it.
The 3 windows were cut out using the Take Three die from PTI. The hearts were cut from the Framed Out 11 die. I stamped and embossed coordinating hearts from the Framed Out 11 stamp set  on a 5x7 vellum envelope. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I also used a Heart embossing folder from Darice, Tim Holtz idea-ology alphabet cards and fired brick distress ink.

Farmer Bryce

My grandson has been feeling a little blue lately so I thought I would make him a pick-me-up card.

I used this cute little farmer from the PKS July Kit of the Month and some Chocolate Sprinkles Trendy Twine. I drew some glasses on him and filled them in with Glossy Accents. I really hope it puts a smile on his face.
This week I actually made it in time for the....

S.W.A.K.

What's the old saying? A day late and a dollar short?

Well I was about 15 minutes late and time short. lol

I was going to enter the PKS challenge this week but also wanted to use those adorable SOTM stamps so was waiting and guess what came in the mail today? Yes a super cute bear set. Well of course tonight was class night so I was a little late getting home from work and then time to eat and some time with the grandkids before bed and off to the craft room but not fast enough. :-(

I did end up with a really cute card for Valentine's though so all was not lost.
How totally cute is this little guy.
I used the PKS January kit
PTI's Pinking Shears and XOXO border dies
and
3 Girl JAM Hot Chocolate crinkle ribbon.
He is also on an Action Wobble
