My Bears have been having FUN!

The grands are out of school and we have been having some fun playing around in the craft room.

When my daughter was young (and even now sometimes) I called her my Tara Beara. When the grands were born I got my Brycee Bear and then Kylie Bear and Ali Bear. They are all my bear cubs. So how great is it to make bears with my Bears!!!

When Bryce and I craft together he likes for me to pick things out but that is where my help is to end. Here is how the covo goes "Oma let's make something." "What do you want to make?" "I don't know you pick." "How about a bear?" "OK." So I get out the Cottage Cutz Tear Bear and box of paper scraps. We cut our bear parts and I say "OK here are the arms." "I know that (with a little attitude)." "These are the legs." "I know OMA! I know!! I can do it MYSELF!!!" lol He is getting so independent.

These sentiments are perfect because they are 2 of his most favorite words.

Kylie and I made this next card together. She is the total opposite from Bryce. She plays the supervisor when we do most things. She hunts through everything, picks them out and then tells me where to put them. She has to have Stickles on every project. Pink is her VERY favorite color and then purple if there is no pink. She is totally our family DIVA.

We used "Cherry Lipstick" crinkle ribbon and some fabulous vintage buttons from 3 Girl JAM on our projects.

Happy Graduation Day

Happy Saturday crafty friends. I am so happy to be hijacking Getting Cricky today.

Today is a pretty special day in our family. My nephew has been working toward this day for 13 years. He is graduating and will be leaving for the National Guard soon and then it will be off to college. They grow up way too fast.

I made him a pretty cool card and I hope it is masculine enough for him. His school colors are green and silver. I used Twisted Lime Trendy Twine to make the tassle and even though you can't really see it in the photo the glitter in the center is green and silver.

On the inside of the card I made a slot for a Starbuck's gift card.

Camping Out

I have to admit that I am so totally NOT the outdoors kind of girl. I do not like bugs, scared to death of bees and wasps. No itchy scratchy mosquito bites for me. That being said I DO love this card. lol

The images are from Pixie Dust Studio. I cut a half circle of honeycomb paper and used a yellow and orange Copic marker to color the edges when it was still closed so when it opened it looks a little like a blazing sun.

Simply Sunday - All About Disney

I am so excited today because it is my very first

Getting Cricky "Simply Sunday Challenge"

as a member of the design team.

I have entered many SS Challenges and they are always so very fun but this one is super special.

Today our theme is All About Disney

My project today was made using the Disney - Dreams Come True cartridge. I added 3 Girl JAM's Aqua Splash and Ice Blue crinkle ribbon for water and Coral Crush for a little coral. Added some home made dew drops and Viva Decor glitter liner to look like some little bubbles and found some tiny sea shells in my stash. (didn't even remember I had these)

Feel Better Card

I am so excited that today is my 3 Girl JAM DT post day.

 

Well it is the beginning of a brand new weekend and I hope you are all excited. I am certainly ready for some crafty time. It has been pretty busy around our house this week. My grand daughter woke up Tuesday morning crying and holding her stomach. My daughter took her to Immediate Care and while she was signing in the doctor saw how she was holding her stomach and sent he straight to the ER. She now has a 3 inch scar on her right side and is missing her appendix. Kylie loves getting cards of any kind and for any reason or no reason at all so I made her a cute "Feel Better" card to cheer her up.

 I used some Provo Craft Disney dies for Mickey and his balloons. He is walking the tight rope made out of 3 Girl JAM "Ice Blue", "Coral Crush" and "Aqua Splash" crinkle ribbon.

Attitude is Everything

The title says it all. I truly believe that Attitude is Everything. Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up in a grumpy mood? Everything seems to be going wrong but then you listen to a song or see a show that kind of lifts your spirits and the rest of the day seems to turn around. Well today this card is lifting my spirits.

I visited the sale over at Digi Doodle Stamps Etsy store. My coloring skills are still forming but like any other kid I really like to color. lol

I Like Your Style

Hey Hey everyone. I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend. OmaGloria here today with a Getting Cricky post.

For my card I used a fantastic image from the DCWV "Lady Couture" stack. She so reminds me of my mother. I am a t-shirt and sweats kinda gal but my mom dresses up to get the mail. lol Not really but she is quite fashionable. Since tomorrow is Mother's Day I thought this would be a great card for her.

I used Viva Decor "Opal" paper-pen for the pearls and the "Celebrations" bundle of crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.

The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs "Fashionable Friends" stamp set. This set is one of my favorites but then again aren't they all awesome!!!
