This month's Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky is....

Summer time to me is all about the County Fair, the State Fair, the store parking lot carnival and on and on. Thank goodness we do not have a year-round amusement park in our town or the kids would have us bankrupted with ride tickets.

One thing I noticed at the state fair last year was a hot air balloon. I have always wanted to take a ride in one but I have this fear of heights that prevents me from even attempting it. One day I am going to face this fear but I think I am going to need someone with arms made of steel to go with me so I don't dig my nails into their bones. lol

So, for my "Summer Celebrations" project I made a hot air balloon.

Attitude is Everything

The title says it all. I truly believe that Attitude is Everything. Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up in a grumpy mood? Everything seems to be going wrong but then you listen to a song or see a show that kind of lifts your spirits and the rest of the day seems to turn around. Well today this card is lifting my spirits.

I visited the sale over at Digi Doodle Stamps Etsy store. My coloring skills are still forming but like any other kid I really like to color. lol

My-O's 32 Birthday Blog Hop

For my gift to Shannon I combined my 2 loves.... Paper and Fiber.

 The notepad holder was embroidered using a file from A Design in Stitches. I didn't embellish the cover because it is meant to be torn off. I left it on to protect the papers during mailing.

Okay so tomorrow will be 3 weeks since I joined Pinterest and I am so addicted. This is the next best things to YouTube for finding cooooool inspiration!!!

I saw this planner for bloggers and it is just the best planner ever.

I made a couple of tweaks for me and absolutely LOVE it!!!

My niece wants me to make one similar for school.

I used K Andrew Designs "Positive Thoughts" stamp set and stamped several of the wonderful sayings all over the cover. I stamped "Smile" over and over because some days we just need an extra reminder!!

I used my Cinch and punched holes on the top of the cover and used alligator clips (i think that's what you call them) to hold the calendar pages.
