Happy Birthday Mr. Morris

The principal at my grandkids school is having a birthday today. I made a word book for him a little while ago and this is the card to go with it. If you would like to see the word book you can find that post HERE.
I got the 2 stamps for this card at JoAnn's liquidation sale and embossed them with blue embossing powder. The crosses were made with a Paper Studio punch. I didn't want it to be too girlie so I kept it simple. I have to say this picture does not do the card justice. It is much more elegant in person.

Halloween Treats already

For Bryce and Kylie's Halloween treats at school we made M & M matchbook treat holders. These are fast, fun and easy to make. We made 58 of them for the whole school.

The pumpkin stamp is from Studio g. There are 4 different pumpkins in the set. Wal Mart has them for 97 cents. I printed out the Happy Halloween and punched them out with the ek success "Photo Labels" punch.

Thank You Pop-Up Card

Oh Yeah I got some awesome goodies in the mail today. There were 3 sets of Crafty Sprouts stamps in this package and I was so excited!! I used 3 stamps from the "Let's go Blog Hopping" set and they are simply the most adorable stamps. I also got "Monster Kisses" and "Totally Witchin" which I was lucky enough to win.
I saw a video on YouTube by "Vadeler" on how to make this pop up card and it is way too cute. I am attaching the video to this post.
I used Peachy Keen "Happy New Year Assortment" and "Happy Lashes Assortment" on the hearts and stars.

Another Multi Panel Card

All the cuts for this card came from the Spring-a-ling set from Lettering Delights. The edges of the cloud have been inked up to make them look a little more thunder cloudish. I also added lots of pink Stickles.

MTC has this new way cool feature where you can access all of your Lettering Delights files from within the MTC program. It is the coolest feature I have ever seen and I love love love it.

Spooky Halloween

I was watching a video on making a multi panel card over at Cricutology and really love the look of these cards so I had to try one myself. I used the Tim Holtz Townscape border die for the row of houses, the grass is from a Fiskars border punch and all the other cuts are from the Halloween Cards file at Visual Designs by Chris. I added some black and yellow Stickles and inked up the houses to make them look a little more spooky. The papers are from 7gypsies 6x6 Venice paper pack. It is double sided and I am loving it. I think it is something new that Hobby Lobby is starting to sell because I have never seen it there before.

Business Card Holder

I have become so far behind on blogging this last week, because of some problems I was having, but that doesn't mean I haven't been creating. Technology is so awesome but when when it fails it really puts a kink into things. I finally got pictures of most of the projects I have made so today I am scheduling posts for this week.

I made 2 of these super cute business card holders but could only get a picture of this one because the second one is at work already. The file for this holder is from Christy's Cuts and you can find it HERE. She also has another holder that is not shaped so you can decorate it however you wish. You can find the second holder HERE. I work at my local sewing machine dealer so I just had to make the sewing machine holder for work. The only thing I added to this project was some Stickles and it turned out so adorable and very quick and easy to make. I was actually a little surprised at how sturdy it is but using cardstock it is extremely usable.

Crafty Sprouts Challenge & New Releases

Erika over at Crafty Sprouts has released 3 new stamp sets and they are super cute so please head over and check them out!!!

She also has a new challenge going on and this time it is a sketch challenge.
I think this is the first time I have entered a sketch challenge. I guess I have just been too afraid of them. Thanks to Erika I bit the bullet and I am so glad I did because it was pretty fun.
Here is my interpretation of the sketch.
The pumpkin & sentiment stamp is from Studio G.

Open House Treats

This is a mini version of the pinch box I made a little while ago.
My grand kids school is having an open house and I made 62 little pinch boxes for the occassion.
I was able to cut 4 boxes out of 1 sheet of 12 x 12 paper.
They each have a starburst and a mini candy bar in them.
Now I am off to make match book M & M holders for Halloween treats at school.

FaItH SoNg Blog Hop

Hello Friends!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I am so glad you came to join me and my blog hop friends for worship! We are here to glorify God in song! :)

We all chose a Christian song that is meaningful to us and made a project that would represent this song.

This is a song that I was taught by our neighbors when I was younger. On June 3, 1980 we had 7 tornados rip through our town. Our neighbors did not have a basement so they came over to our house. The main thing I remember about that night is not being afraid or being alone. I remember singing this song all night long and having fun even with everything that was happening outside. We would sing louder and faster until we messed up and then we would start over again.

The next day we realized that one of the tornados came down the street just 1 house away from us. That night 5 lives were lost many more were injured and millions of dollars in property was destroyed. One house was completely gone except for an end table with a bible sitting on it. A company sign for "Christensen Concrete" was gone except for the letters spelling "Christ".

I still sing this song and am teaching it to the grandkids also.

My project is a word book spelling Christian. The principal at my grandkids school is having a birthday September 29th (which if anyone is interested is also my birthday) and this book will be a gift to him.
Here is the line-up in case you get lost and I don't want you to miss any of the terrific designers and their wonderful stories and creations.

Shape Card Challenge & Scrap'n Easel

I made this birthday cake shape card for Crafty Sprouts challenge. Erika is the absolute best!!! I have entered all of her challenges since she started having them and they are always so much fun.

Last month she had a grand prize of a Scrap'n Easel and I could not believe it when I saw that I won. Well my FedEx man brought it today and I was thrilled beyond belief. This thing is so so cool and I am going to have tons of fun with my awesome new toy. It is very sturdy and those little magnets are super strong. The best part about it though, that I never saw in all the videos that I have watched on it......
It is now sitting on MY desk!!!!!!
I have wanted a Scrap'n Easel from the first time I saw it. So I have to say I love Erika for choosing me as the winner and I love Marlo for coming up with this awesome product.
THANK YOU.
The sentiment on my card is from Crafty Sprouts "Are You Ready to Rock" stamp set and these are the absolute cutest rockin'est stamps so go check them out.
The short magnetic ruler in the picture did not come with the Scrap'n Easel.

Calendar Swap - finished 2 more months

There is still a calendar swap going on over at Visual Designs by Chris. I have finished 3 months which means I will get 3 complete calendars when the swap is over. We still have 3 months that have not been spoken for if anyone wants to sign up head over to the forum. If we get more interest there will be another group started.
For my November layout I used the turkey from the "Fall Treat Boxes" set from My Scrap Chick.
For April I used the Easter Egg Waterfall Card (without the card part) from SVGCuts, PeachyKeenStamps face stamps and a Sizzix "Swirls" embossing folder and Cuttlebug "Polka Dots" embossing folder. The "APRIL" was made using one of the cuts from Lettering Delights "Easter" set.
