Thanks Sweet Friend

I hope everyone survived all the turkey and stuffing last week.
We had a very quiet day which was lovely.
Did you all get what you wanted from the Friday sales?
The only thing I bought was a new computer, which wasn't even on Friday. My laptop keeps overheating and shutting off (thank goodness for extended warranties) so I ended up getting a new desktop and will be getting the laptop fixed for the grands. I do not even want to think about installing all the programs and any conflicts with Windows 8. If anyone has any advice with SCAL or CCR working with Windows 8 I would love to hear it!!!

For my card today I used some Merlot crinkle ribbon (1 of my top 26 favs) and a cutting file from our challenge sponsor The Cutting Cafe. The sentiment is from Pink by Designs "Love Always" stamp set.
Be sure to check out the 3 Girl JAM challenge blog and link up your projects.

Did someone say Turkey?

Are you all ready for tomorrow? Hubby and I will be spending Thanksgiving here at home with my parents. My brothers always go to their in-laws, my sister lives too far away and my daughter and grands are going to her bio-dads for the holiday.  My mother always wants the whole spread even though there are not many mouths to feed which means we are all sick of turkey and stuffing til next year. lol

I made this little guy in honor of the holiday using the Teddy Bear Parade cart. I used some Merlot crinkle ribbon to frame him and put him on a Wobble. The sentiment is from Pink by Designs "Bountiful Blessings" stamp set.
Don't you just want to squeeze the stuffing out of him. lol I just couldn't resist that little joke.
Be sure to check out the challenge blog and link up your projects!! You still have 2 more weeks!!
Happy Crafting and have a Very Blessed Holiday!!!

Need some retail therapy

I think my mind is sending me subliminal messages lately. With being sick and just plain having the blahs I have not been getting out of the house except to go to work. Maybe I should do some cyber shopping..... but then again I am trying to save the $$ just in case there is a Black Friday sale that just can't be passed up.
For this card I used some yummy Holly Berry crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM and the "Black Friday" stamp set from Pink by Design. The slider part of the card was made using Papertrey Ink's Sliders die which makes it super easy.

3 Girl JAM's Challenge #7 is going on now.
You can find out all about it HERE.

Rockin' around the Christmas Tree

Happy Monday 3 Girl JAMmers!!

I hope everyone has been staying warm. Around here the weather is changing fast. Can you believe we only have 10 days until Thanksgiving and 43 days until Christmas. WOW before you know it 2013 will be upon us.

Today I made a card in honor of our 6th challenge over on the
Projects can be linked up until Thursday so be sure to check it out.

I know these are not traditional Christmas colors but sometimes "outside the box" is fun too. I used some fun and poppin' Ice Blue and Sunflower crinkle ribbon along with the Snow Angel cricut cart. This is actually my first card for the Christmas season and I really need to kick it into high gear. The sentiment is from Pink by Designs "Christmas Wishes" stamp set.

3 Girl JAM - Creative Inspiration Paints Blog Hop

Welcome to the 3 Girl JAM/Creative Inspiration Paints blog hop! If you came from the Creative Inspirations Paint blog then you are in the right place. If not and you would like to start at the beginning please head back to the 3 Girl JAM blog.
3 Girl JAM

3 Girl Jam and Creative Inspiration Paints have teamed up to show you all the fun things you can create with ribbon and paint! Make sure to check out our stores to see the latest and greatest product that you can use on your own projects!

For my project I used Daffodil and Iris crinkle ribbon and Plum, Silver Frost, Tanzanite, Mint and Rustic Red paints. I made a little "Pick-Me-Up" box for a friend of mine.
All the flowers started out as white Flora Doodles handmade flowers and now they are shimmery painted beautiful embellishments. I embossed a sentiment from Pink by Designs "Life's a Garden" stamp set.
I also colored the floral digi with the Creative Inspirations paints. Didn't it turn out gorgeous???
The beautiful Spring Flowers bundle crinkle ribbon helps keep the flap closed and totally polishes off the goodies box.
Here are some photos for making the box. I hope they are understandable. If you have any questions give a holler. The original box was on Pink by Designs UStream HERE. I have made this box a LOT and love all the different ways the same box turns out.
Your next stop on the hop is the extremely talented Kendra.

3 Girl JAM Challenge #6

Hello Everyone. I hope you have all had a wonderful week and are getting ready to play this weekend. The 3 Girl JAM DT has another terrific challenge starting today. We are using a sketch this time. I really like using sketches because there are many times when my creativity takes a vacation. lol

My beautiful grand daughter is turning 5 this year and she loves playing with me in my Craft Room. It was a little tough keeping this card secret from her but I did manage to do it. I made her this cute spinner card and she is going to love it. She is a major candy junkie and every time we go to Hobby Lobby I have to buy her a bag of
M & M's.
The adorable M&M diva is from the Candy Pals set at Treasure Box Designs. Her sweet little face is from Peachy Keen's "Laught Taffy" face assortment.
I used some Hot Chocolate crinkle ribbon to match this cuties hard chocolate shell.
The spinner was made using Papertrey Ink's Spinner Die and the sentiment is from Pink by Designs "Just My Ticket" stamp set.
Our sponsor for this challenge is
Treasure Box Designs
The winner will receive a $15 Gift Certificate, 1 Crinkle Ribbon bundle from 3 Girl JAM and a Guest Designer spot on one of our future challenges.

You have until November 15th to link up your project, over on the 3 Girl JAM Challenge blog, for a chance to win.
