Gift Card Holder

This was such a super fast project and turned out oh so cute.
You can find the tutorial over on ScrapGuy's PaperCrafting Adventure.
I cut mine 4 1/4" wide instead of 4 1/2" so that I could get 2 cards out of 1 sheet of paper.
I also made some that are wider to fit lottery tickets but I haven't embellished them yet.
DCWV "The Christmas Combo" 4x6 matstack. This stack is from last year.
Crafty Sprouts "Have a Cool Yule" stamp set. I masked the stamp so it would be in 1 line instead of 2.

Secret Box

MERRY CHRISTMAS CRAFTY FRIENDS

I have been doing some file cleaning the past couple of days. When I come across a cool project from one of the many amazingly creative crafters out there I bookmark it in my favorites. One of the problems I have is never getting back to that bookmark so it was about time I did a little organizing. I printed out a lot of the projects and am going to use my Cinch to make a HUGE book of creative ideas.

Well one of the projects that really caught my eye was this Secret Box. It is the cutest little box that would be fabulous for some little treasures. You can find the tutorial HERE. I used the Tim Holtz "Mini Paper Rosettes" die and topped them off with a pearl from the Paper Studio.

Help name the Card Easel

Marlo has done it again!! She is creating an Easel for card makers.

She is having a contest to help her name this new product so head over HERE and help her out! If she uses your idea you can win a Card Easel. How awesome would that be!!!!!

This was taken from her blog post.....

Hey Girls! I could use your help!

I am launching a new product that will be available for pre-order in January. I need help naming this product. The product is another easel . . . but this easel is a single easel designed for card making, and, slightly smaller than Scrap'n Easel's 12"x12".

This new "Card Making" easel will have the grids screen printed right on the magnetic surface. No removable grids for this easel as they are not needed. Scrap'n Easel has removable grids for "display mode" but cards are their own display piece! The design on this easel is different than Scrap'n Easel too! I can't wait to get the final prototype so I can photograph it and show it to you!

So many card makers have asked for this product and I am delighted to be so close to offering it! Now I just need to decide what to call it!! If I end up using your suggestion I will send you a FREE Card Easel!!

Ok! I'm soooooo ready to hear your suggestions!
Thanks in advance,
Marlo

PKS Sketch Challenge 67

The PKS Sketch Challenge this time is an anything goes challenge using a PKS stamp and goodness knows I have some of those and love every single one of them. I am hoping to get some more from Santa this year but Santa is also going to Florida and might bring back some goodies that we don't have in little town Nebraska. Anyone have any ideas for what I should ask him/her to bring this year??

I made a couple of 3x3 note cards (no they are not lunchbox notes for the grand kids this time lol). I have been feeling a tad bit grumpy for a few days but these cards did put a little smile on my face.

Crazy Friends

Today is another DT Friday over at Crafty Sprouts. There is still time to enter the challenge for your chance to win some truly cute digis from Bugaboo stamps.

I made a 3x3 note card with the cutest and craziest little party animal. Her name is Ruby Christmas - ornaments. She was trying to sit on the couch but ran in to a little problem and ended up on the floor. :-)
The couch stamp and die are from Papertrey ink "On My Couch"
The label is from Papertrey ink "Fillable Frames #8"
The sentiment is from Crafty Sprouts "Besties For Life" stamp set

Now it's your turn to show us your creation. Head over to see what my DT sisters made and get some creative inspiration and then go have fun and enter the challenge.

LFIF - Fabric Scraps

I think this is my first Let's Face it Friday Challenge but boy oh boy was it fun. It combined my 2 loves... paper and fabric!!!  Anyone that knows me knows that I have plenty of both to last a lifetime.

So here is the project I made...
The elves are from the Pazzles Craft Room. It didn't allow for hiding the eyes so I masked the eyes on the Happy Lashes Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps and used the mouths. They turned out so super cute!!
The sentiment is from Crafty Sprouts "Have a Cool Yule" stamp set. I used 2 different stamps from this set to make "helpers" plural. I stitched fabric strips behind the little cuties. The fabric actually has some things on it that any kids would love to get for Christmas. (kitties and puppies and toys)

More Lunchbox Notes and a couple of winners

I made a couple more lunchbox notes for the grandkids. They are all about making snow angels now that we have enough of the white stuff on the ground.
Winter Frolic cartridge (if anyone has some hints on this cart I would appreciate it. It seems that they have grouped things together that are supposed to be different colors so I have to cut the same things 3 times for the 3 colors and it gets very frustrating. They grouped the boys "face", "hat and pants", and "gloves and boots" together as one cut but they are 3 colors)
Twine from The Twinery
Faces from Peachy Keen stamps "Simple Simons Assortment" and "Dolly Dumplins Assortment"
The sentiment is from Crafty Sprouts "Smile On" stamp set.

Now on to the big announcements!!

The winner for the Crafty Sprouts Sale Blog Hop (treat dispenser and purse) is.......

Hot Cocoa Cones

The grand kids had their Christmas program on Thursday so I decided to make them a treat to warm them up.
I made tags with a cute little sentiment from Crafty Sprouts "Smile On" stamp set and a list of all the ingredients. They are tied on with twine from The Twinery.
On the back I added directions on how to make the cocoa and an adorable little gingerbread man from Peachy Keen Stamps "PK-411 Lil' Gingerbreads and phrases" stamp set.
There were a total of 50 cones for each of the students and staff in the school.
Here is a close up of the cone.
My grand son was an angel and my grand daughter was a sheep. All the kids did such a terrific job and it was a fabulous program. They go to a private Christian school and there are only 40 students. I have to say I love the school they attend. My grand son is in 1st grade and has 1st through 8th graders in his class and he is learning so much. He really looks up to the older kids and they help out so much. He is reading and writing cursive, telling time and counting money. My 3 (now 4) year old grand daughter has learned the Pledge of Allegience. They are learning bible verses and hymns. All the kids know each other and look out for each other. It is always fun to make special treats for such awesome students and staff.

Today we have created some Christmas Decorations for the Holiday season. We have a great line up of wonderfully talented ladies who have some awesome decorations to share with you.

This is such a special time of year. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and we get to spend time with family. The project I made for today's hop has my family written all over it. I made Christmas ornaments for each of my family members. Last year I made these for friends and neighbors but I neglected my own family so this year it was time to make it up to them.
Clear Glass Bulbs
Martha Stewart Glitter
Pledge Floor Wax
Vinyl
I poured the Pledge in the ball and coated the inside. Pour the Pledge into the next ball and let the first one drip the excess into a cup. Use a funnel to put the glitter into the ball and coat the inside and pour the excess glitter back into its container. The vinyl is on the outside of the ball.
My blog candy is a set of Crafty Sprouts "Smile On" stamps. All you have to do to win is.....
1. Be or become a follower of my blog

PKS Sketch Challenge 66

I bought the Imagine at Wal Mart on Black Friday and have been having so much fun with it. (for the most part) I love that you can take a plain white piece of cardstock and make it into several different colors and patterns. So much easier than chopping up a bunch of cardstock sheets and figuring out how to place them on the mat. The learning curve is a bit higher than with the Expression but hey YouTube Rocks!!!

So enough yammering on here are a couple of cards I have made with my new toy.

I made this first card for the Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge 66. Now since this is the very year I was born (yea yea yea I know I'm revealing my age) do you think this might be a lucky challenge for me??
BOTH CARDS
Kate's ABC's cart
Stickles and Glossy Accents
Twine - The Twinery
Sentiment - Crafty Sprouts "Smile On" stamp set

Remember there is a great sale going on at Crafty Sprouts the rest of this week so head over and check it out.

There is also a Design Team Call going on over at Peachy Keen Stamps until December 23rd so if you are interested head over there to find out all the important details. Good Luck to all that apply.

Mood Box

I saw this box during Snip Tuck's guest design week at Peachy Keen Stamps and absolutely fell in love. It is the cutest design and so much fun to make. I modified it just a little because I didn't put the emotion words just the faces. There are a total of 8 sides on the inside box for 8 different emotions but I won't show pics of all 8. The dowel on the top turns the box inside.
 Side of the box.
My 3 super duper adorable grand kids.
Oops got it upside down but I don't mind a bit.
Twine - The Twinery
Peachy Keen face stamps from several different assortments.
Sentiments - Crafty Sprouts "Besties for Life" and "Are You Ready to Rock"
All Crafty Sprouts stamp sets are on sale this week so go check them out before they are sold out!!!
Come back tomorrow for Crafty Sprouts DT Friday.
Saturday is the Christmas Card Blog Hop.
I will be giving away a set of Crafty Sprouts stamps to one lucky follower during the hop.
