2013-2014 Date Book

I hope you have all had a very restful weekend and are ready to face another week. The weather around here has become chilly in the mornings but by afternoon it is very comfortable. Fall is my favorite season of the year. The days are nice, the colors are beautiful, the heater and air conditioner are both turned off so energy bills are cheaper. See it's just the perfect time of year I tell ya. lol

Fall also means another year is right around the corner. It is amazing how fast this year has gone by. I have to say though that I am ready for it to be over. This year has been a very stressful one and I pray that next year is a much quieter one. So in getting ready for the new year I made a 2 year date book. I could not wait another 2 1/2 months to start using it so I also included November and December.
The image is Belle from our challenge sponsor "Saturated Canary". You still have until Thursday to enter this challenge so be sure to check it out HERE.

The gorgeous ribbon is 3 Girl JAM "Christmas Candy" from the new Seasons Bundle.
I made the calendar pages in Word so they are an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet folded in half.
The bottom of each page is glued together so each one forms an envelope. I am going to make tags for each month with a list of important days. This way in 2015 I can transfer the tags instead of needing to rewrite all the dates. I can also add a second tag to each month to journal things that happen so when it comes time to make a scrap page I can refresh my memory of what happened when.
Easy Peasy.
I added 3 folders in the back that will get jazzed up in time and somewhere on my date book I will be adding photos of my grandkids so they will always be with me.

I wanted this book to be something that I can add things to over the 2 years as the mood hits me and I think that is possible but yet it starts out fantastic also.

Anything Goes at 3 Girl JAM

It's Challenge time at 3 Girl JAM again.
Anything Goes for this challenge.
My grandson and I made a card for Opa.
This handsome little zombie is Philly from Saturated Canary.
Bryce picked him out so that we could make this cute card.
We used Blue 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon.
The sentiment is from Crafty Sprouts "Totally Witchin" stamp set.
After Bryce read it he kept sneeking up on me acting like he was going to trip me and then ran away yelling,
"The Zombies won't eat ME cause they have you." lol

Our sponsor for this challenge is...

The winner will receive 2 digis from Saturated Canary, a 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon bundle and a guest design spot on a future challenge.

Yummy Treat Box

Good Monday Everyone!
It has been such a busy week around here.  It feels good to have my crafty studio back in order and having some fun again. One of these days I will have to do a video showing my room. It feels much more open now that I removed a lot of stuff and passed it on to freecycle.

Well on to my project. This is a super cute box that can be used for so many things. I used mine for some yummy Hugs and Kisses. The bow was made with some delicious Hot Chocolate crinkle ribbon and the flower is rich, deep Merlot crinkle ribbon topped off with a Vintage Button. I totally love this combination!!
The box was made using a tutorial from Pink by Design (it is 26 minutes into the ustream and the piece that is supposed to be 9 x 5 you need to cut at 8 3/4 x 5). The sentiment is also from Pink by Design "Enjoy the Journey".

So now that I have given you some Ribbon Flower inspiration make one of your own and link it up to the current 3 Girl JAM challenge HERE.
