MIM Repeats & Rainbows

This year's resolutions are starting out great. One of them was to start entering the MIM challenges and so far so good.

This week the Make it Monday challenge is Repeats & Rainbows. (I used Color Scheme No 4) I can tell already that I am going to need some more yummy supplies. I do not have any of the ink colors from the color schemes so I used my distress inks. I do have the cardstock colors (which I didn't think about until after this card was done) so already have other projects in mind.
Supplies used:
Funky Florals stamp set (this set is free with qualifying purchase until 1-14-13)
Halloween Harvest crinkle ribbon
Black Soot, Victorian Velvet, Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed, Weathered Wood and Milled Lavender distress inks
VersaMark
Clear and White Embossing powder

I'm a Sketch

Happy Monday All

I hope you all are having a great start to 2013. I am praying for a much quieter year then last. One of my few resolutions is to stock up on chill pills. I am trying to work very hard on not letting the little things bother me and picking my battles a little more carefully. We have 8 people (hubby and myself, my mother, our daughter and 4 grands) all living in the same house and tensions run high sometimes. Have you ever heard the saying that grandkids are your reward for not strangling your kids. lol Well I have been rewarded with 4 beautiful and amazing grandkids.

For my project today the amazingly talented Betty is making a digi to resemble me. This is the sketch and I was way toooo excited and had to color it up. This is exactly what it looks like in my craft room. The grands are always in here asking to make something and I Love It!!!

I wove some Ice Blue and Sterling crinkle ribbon around a scalloped square to make a bit of a frame.
The sentiment is from PTI's Heart 2 Heart #8!!!
My grands definitely make me a better person!!

MIM Chalkboard Technique

This is the first time I have ever seen this technique and thought it looked pretty cool.

This is my take on the Chalkboard Technique for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge. I do not have any white ink that works very well so will have to put that on my PTI wish list.
I really like the way it turned out!
Supplies Used:
Ocean Tides cardstock
Fabulous Frames stamp set
Christmas Candy crinkle ribbon

3 Girl JAM Anything Goes

Welcome to another 3 Girl JAM challenge. We had such a terrific turn out for our Christmas Inspiration challenge. We had 80 fabulous entries which means I will be giving away 8 bundles of 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon. The winners will be posted this weekend so be sure to check back.

So now onto challenge #9 "It's a New Year so Anything Goes"
Our sponsor for this challenge is...
For my Desktop Calendar I used the "Mini Calendar Handwriting" and "Bookworm" files and some 3 Girl JAM London Blue crinkle ribbon. My grandson will be taking this to his teacher when he goes back to school.
I also adhered some London Blue to the back side so that it would stay standing. The base is made with PTI coasters.
You will have until January 10th to link your project.

Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge

This is the first time I have participated in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge or any of the challenges for PTI but that is one of my New Year's resolutions. I am positively addicted to their products, follow the blog and watch all the MIM tutorials but 2013 is the time to become more active.

For my card I used some of my new Christmas delivery.....the Leafy Vine Border die and the Framed Out #9 die and stamp set. I followed the MIM #50 tutorial to make this shaker card and just have to say that using fun foam is much easier then using all the foam circles.

Peace on Earth

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope everyone has survived all the Christmas shopping and you are looking forward to spending some time with family. We have actually already celebrated with the grands because the 2 oldest will be with their dad for Christmas. They will be back to help us ring in the New Year though.

There are only 8 more days until another year is upon us. I made a tag to wish you all a little
"Peace on Earth"
in the New Year. The bows are made with some beautifully golden "Sunflower" crinkle ribbon. The sentiment is from Pink by Designs "Christmas Wishes" stamp set
When I was cutting this angel it didn't cut all the way through. I started to think it was meant for the scrap bin but after thinking on it some more I decide to start peeling the paper away from the angel, to see what would happen, and it turned out perfect. I then tore the edges and inked them up and totally love the way it turned out.

I am linking it up to Cheri's Tag Challenge.
