Oh What A Day

This weekend mom and I were supposed to make cake pops for my grandson's 7th birthday treats tomorrow but we didn't get them done and I didn't want to be empty handed in the morning so I worked on alternate treats. I made 24 of them just for his class. (not the whole school this time)
I needed something that was quick to make and remembered seeing a tutorial that Sarah "Pink Cricut" did. If you are looking for a fast treat holder check it out. Since I used her tutorial I also used her Pink by Design "Faith" stamp set.
When Bryce got home from school he went to the neighbor's house to play and he had his new Christmas scooter. The neighbor brought him home with a towel on his face and blood all over his hands. Bryce said that he collided with another boy and fell off his scooter. Needless to say he bit a hole right through his lip. The clinic had just closed so off to the ER we went and he ended up getting 4 stitches. He was so brave!!!
This was taken while we were waiting for paperwork after he got the stitches.
This picture was taken right after we got home.
How many kids can say they got stitches for their 7th birthday?

Rocking 45th Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to Rosie's Rocking 45th Birthday Blog Hop!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSIE
I am absolutely thrilled that she asked me to help her celebrate her birthday with so many awesomely talented bloggy friends. If you arrived here from Lena's blog then you are in the right place and have reached your last stop on the hop but if you just happened along my blog then head back to see Rosie (our birthday girl) because you just have to wish her a Super Hap-Hap-Happy Day and see all there is to see along the way.

Rosie told us that she likes Rock-n-Roll.
Her favorite colors are red, yellow and pink.
She is also a Twi-hard!!!
I tried to incorporate all of these things into her birthday present so I really hope she likes it.
I made a really cute Stationery Box. The tags on the front are from Crafty Sprouts "Fanpire" stamp set and I added some Spare Parts flowers and brad.
It is filled with cards and envelopes, tags, notecards and a little address book. I had to get some pink in here somewhere so I added a pink ink pen.
I used Crafty Sprouts "Smile On" "Besties for Life" and "Feeling Icky" stamp sets for the note cards.
The lines are stamped from The Stamps of Life "list2write" stamp set
For the tags I used PKS "Blushing Bride" "Laughy Taffy" and "Dolly Dumplins" face assortments and Twinery twine.
I used Crafty Sprouts "Are You Ready to Rock" and "Fanpire" for the bigger cards.
For the envelopes I cut down A2 size envelopes and used Martha Stewart and EK Sucess border punches on 2" wide strips of cardstock and adhered them to the envelopes so they are the perfect size for the cards.

Here is the complete hop line up in case you lose your way:
2. Kari
3. Zeni
5. Rosa
6. Lena

Tomorrow you will see Rosie's Rock-n-Roll birthday card so stay tuned for the Crafty Sprouts Feature Friday post in the morning.

Couple of non-paper projects

I broke out my embroidery machine after way too long and made a couple of quick projects. I teach embroidery and sewing classes part time and you would think I would use it more often but since I got the paper crafting bug the fiber crafting bug has taken a back seat. I really need to learn how to balance them both. There are so many UFO's in my closet that have been there for far too long.
This holder can also be used for pencils but hey suckers are yum yum yummier!
I made this hanging as a personal reminder to myself. lol It is hanging right above my computer so I can see it often.
