Monster Mash Blog Hop

Welcome to the Monster Mash blog hop! If you came from Kate's blog then you are in the right place. If not and you would like to start at the beginning please go HERE.
3 Girl Jam
3 Girl Jam and Jaded Blossom have teamed up for this Monster Mash blog hop! We are using
and
3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon

For my first project I used the cute little Monster from the Monster Mash set and colored him in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I added glossy accents to his eyes and boils. I added some X-press it tape to the back of my circles and ruffled the Goblin Green crinkle ribbon.
For my second project I cut this sweet monster couple from Scrappy Dew's Franky Halloween cut file. When I saw the "Love Monster" sentiment, in the Monster Mash set, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I masked the stamp so each word stamped seperately. The couple is pop dotted on top of the Celebrations crinkle ribbon.
Your next stop on the hop is Abby.

Before you go we have some blog candy up for grabs.

Shrinky Dink Fun

Had to share a quick project.
I used a couple digis from Simply Betty Stamps and printed them out on Shrinky Dinks. Used distress markers to color them in, shrunk them down with a heat gun and put them on a split ring so the grands can attach them to their book bags.
They started out at 3.5 inches and shrunk down to about 1.5 inches.

Winter Wishes in August

Today we are featuring the
stamp set at Getting Cricky.

This set is most certainly NOT just for the cold weather season and I am going to prove it. lol

I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and they had stamps on sale. I saw these little cuties and just had to get them. I made this card thinking that I would give it to my friend for Halloween but when the grandson saw it he took off with it. I am so glad I got a picture before he saw it.
I added some glossy accents and have to say they turned out way to cute to be spooky.
This is a lunchbox note I made for my granddaughter in May. If you would like to read more about it you will find the post HERE.

See, neither one of my projects were made any where near the cold weather months . lol

Sadly this is my very last post for the K Andrew Designs DT.
It has been a wonderful 5 months.
I want to thank Kristal for allowing me to be a part of her design team. Also a huge Thank You to all of the other team members for being such an awesome inspiration!

I Scream - U Scream - We all Scream for Ice Cream.
Today is my 3 Girl JAM design team post.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are refreshed for the week ahead.
My project for today is a trading card for my granddaughter's first day of school. I really love how it turned out. It is so bright and sunny and cheery. The Harvest Orange and Sunflower crinkle ribbon are such happy colors. Don't you just get a smile on your face when you see these colors. Yea I know you do.

Scripture Sayings Flashback

Today we are showcasing the "Scripture Sayings" stamp set at Getting Cricky.
My first project was made almost a year ago. It was a birthday gift for the grandkids principal last year.
My second project is a twisted easel card.
This is such a fun and easy card style.
I found a tutorial by doing a search on YouTube.
This sweet girl is "Lunch Time Brittany" from Simply Betty Stamps.
I also used some 3 Girl JAM "Daffodil" crinkle ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by and have a very Blessed Sunday.

Food for Thought

Today Getting Cricky is featuring the "Food for Thought" stamp set.

Our grandson's first day of 2nd grade was on Tuesday. He is in a new school this year so he didn't know any of the kids but has made a couple friends already. He is such an outgoing and social kid. (nothing like his Oma) Our granddaughter will start her first day of preschool next Tuesday. This is her second year of preschool and she can not wait to get started. She will be in a new school also and I am hoping it goes good.

I made some more tags to hide in their backpacks. They will not be taking a sack lunch everyday this year so they can't be called lunchbox notes any more. The other day my grandson saw the pizza boxes I had made for their first day of school and he said, "Oma you need to stop making these cutesy things. Kids are making fun of me." Now the part that I didn't understand is that school hadn't even started. lol I may need to look into making some more "manly" school notes. He is becoming so grown up.
Harvest Orange and Cherry Lipstick crinkle ribbon
Sunflower and Mistletoe crinkle ribbon
Baby Girl and Goblin Green crinkle ribbon
All of the fruits are from Peachy Keen Stamps "Faceless Fruit" and their adorable little mugs are from "Simple Sallies".

Cup o Cocoa

My wonderful embroidery machine got the cobwebs dusted off again yesterday. I am teaching a class on Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon with these cute candy cane holders. So if you are in the area stop on by the store. I don't have any candy canes so I used some candy sticks that I have around.
The CD actually has 20 different candy cane holders and I plan on making every last one of them. Maybe these will be the kids Christmas treats at school this year. My favorite embroidery projects are Free Standing Lace and Applique and these fit the bill perfectly.

3 Girl JAM Fungi Bookmark

Hello Everyone.
Today is my first post for 3 Girl JAM's second term and I am so very excited to be staying on the team.

There are so many new and exciting changes that are going to be happening at 3 Girl JAM. One of those changes is a new Challenge Blog. Our first challenge will be August 24th so head over, become a follower and mark your calendars.

Julie is celebrating all the new changes with an awesome giveaway so check out A Little Bit of Bling to find out all the details.

I hope you all have been having a terrific week and are planning a relaxing weekend. The grands are going to be home tomorrow so it will be a wonderful weekend in our neighborhood.

My project for today is a simple bookmark for my grandson. He loves reading to his baby sister and she will sit beside him and listen forever. I used a "Canvas Border Strip" and some "Sunshine Yellow" twine. The Canvas Borders are so easy to work with because they already have adhesive on the back (no muss, no fuss) and the twine is extra thick so it makes wonderful bookmark fringe.
The bookmark die is from Papertrey Ink. I love this die because it makes it so very easy to make bookmarks.

The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs "Food for Thought" stamp set. I have to tell you something funny about this sentiment. When I first got this set I was looking through them all and kept saying to myself "fun-gee" how do you use that??? So I have had this set since it was released and every so often would come back to this sentiment and wander 'fun-gee" how do you use that. A couple days ago I don't know what clicked but on went the light bulb and "fun-guy" I KNOW HOW TO USE THAT. Oh my gosh how dense am I???

Fun with Puns

This month's Simply Sunday challenge at Getting Cricky is to have "Fun with Puns"

With school starting in less than 2 weeks I decided to make the grands a couple of pizza boxes that I can add a treat to for the first day of school.
I watched a video by "Creations with Christina" on making your own Thickers. I thought it was awesome and will save tons of $$ to buy other crafty supplies. I always have extra letters or not enough of the ones I need so now I can make exactly what I need for the project with no waste. What is left around each letter can be used as a dimensional so you save $$ on buying them also. Yeah what could be better.
I do not remember where these cute little mice came from (they have been in my stash since before I even got into papercrafting).

The Punny sentiment is from K Andrew Designs
"Of Mice and Lil Men"

Be sure to head over to Getting Cricky and link up your "Fun with Puns" project.

Waiting on Pins & Needles

Hello everyone.
Today is my last post for 3 Girl JAM's 1st Design Team term.
Have you all been anxious to find out who made the 2nd term on 3 Girl JAM's Design Team? Well so am I and it's almost here. Tomorrow is the BIG announcement and I have been waiting on Pins and Needles.

I have to say, I think the combination of 3 Girl JAM's "Tuxedo" and "Witches Brew" crinkle ribbon really makes this card POP.
LOL Isn't this card cute and the sentiment from K Andrew's "Sew Much Fun" set totally fits the occasion.
The image was a freebie from Simply Betty Stamps facebook group.
