Another thing that has always amazed me, is her ability to find all these awesome challenges. So I went on a mission when I saw her adorable card yesterday. Oh What A Day

This weekend mom and I were supposed to make cake pops for my grandson's 7th birthday treats tomorrow but we didn't get them done and I didn't want to be empty handed in the morning so I worked on alternate treats. I made 24 of them just for his class. (not the whole school this time)
I needed something that was quick to make and remembered seeing a tutorial that Sarah "Pink Cricut" did. If you are looking for a fast treat holder check it out. Since I used her tutorial I also used her Pink by Design "Faith" stamp set.
When Bryce got home from school he went to the neighbor's house to play and he had his new Christmas scooter. The neighbor brought him home with a towel on his face and blood all over his hands. Bryce said that he collided with another boy and fell off his scooter. Needless to say he bit a hole right through his lip. The clinic had just closed so off to the ER we went and he ended up getting 4 stitches. He was so brave!!!
This was taken while we were waiting for paperwork after he got the stitches.
This picture was taken right after we got home.
How many kids can say they got stitches for their 7th birthday?

Rocking 45th Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to Rosie's Rocking 45th Birthday Blog Hop!!!
I am absolutely thrilled that she asked me to help her celebrate her birthday with so many awesomely talented bloggy friends. If you arrived here from Lena's blog then you are in the right place and have reached your last stop on the hop but if you just happened along my blog then head back to see Rosie (our birthday girl) because you just have to wish her a Super Hap-Hap-Happy Day and see all there is to see along the way.

Rosie told us that she likes Rock-n-Roll.
Her favorite colors are red, yellow and pink.
She is also a Twi-hard!!!
I tried to incorporate all of these things into her birthday present so I really hope she likes it.
I made a really cute Stationery Box. The tags on the front are from Crafty Sprouts "Fanpire" stamp set and I added some Spare Parts flowers and brad.
It is filled with cards and envelopes, tags, notecards and a little address book. I had to get some pink in here somewhere so I added a pink ink pen.
I used Crafty Sprouts "Smile On" "Besties for Life" and "Feeling Icky" stamp sets for the note cards.
The lines are stamped from The Stamps of Life "list2write" stamp set
For the tags I used PKS "Blushing Bride" "Laughy Taffy" and "Dolly Dumplins" face assortments and Twinery twine.
I used Crafty Sprouts "Are You Ready to Rock" and "Fanpire" for the bigger cards.
For the envelopes I cut down A2 size envelopes and used Martha Stewart and EK Sucess border punches on 2" wide strips of cardstock and adhered them to the envelopes so they are the perfect size for the cards.

Here is the complete hop line up in case you lose your way:
2. Kari
3. Zeni
5. Rosa
6. Lena

Tomorrow you will see Rosie's Rock-n-Roll birthday card so stay tuned for the Crafty Sprouts Feature Friday post in the morning.

Couple of non-paper projects

I broke out my embroidery machine after way too long and made a couple of quick projects. I teach embroidery and sewing classes part time and you would think I would use it more often but since I got the paper crafting bug the fiber crafting bug has taken a back seat. I really need to learn how to balance them both. There are so many UFO's in my closet that have been there for far too long.
This holder can also be used for pencils but hey suckers are yum yum yummier!
I made this hanging as a personal reminder to myself. lol It is hanging right above my computer so I can see it often.

Peachy Keen Pockets Challenge

Yeah it's the first Peachy Challenge of the year.
I made this card for our neighbor and church friend.
Have you all checked out the new PKS Stamp of the Month Club. I debated for so long but my fellow DT sisters were joining and I just couldn't be left out on all the fun. This cute little heart and face are both in the January set. We got a sneaky peek of the February set and they are just too cute.
The sentiment for my card is from Crafty Sprouts "Besties For Life". This set is so fun to use for so many different projects. Go check it out in the Crafty Sprouts Shop.

Case Our DT Challenge

Happy Friday crafty friends. Today Crafty Sprouts has got another super fun challenge for you all. It is called "Case Our DT". All you need to do is visit the DT members, take some inspiration from what you see, copy the style, layout, colors, image etc., post your project on your blog along with a link to the project you cased and then link it up over at Crafty Sprouts. I had so much fun with this challenge and I'm sure you will too.

I am still working on finding just the right treats for school Valentine's. Sometimes I think I have craft ADHD. I can't make up my mind because there are so many different and cute projects and I can't stick to just one. That is why it is a good idea to start early so that I have time to change my mind often. LOL
This box is from SVG Attic's "Be Mine" set.
The hearts were made with Shrinky Dinks and the Imagine More Cards cartridge.
The sentiment is from Carfty Sprouts "Text Talk" stamp set.
This is just to show the difference in size before the Shrinky Dinks have been shrunk.

I cased my uber talented DT sister Carley. She made these awesome rings out of Shrinky Dinks.
The prize for the challenge is this adorable PKS Cupid set

Not just for Halloween

It's not just for Halloween anymore. Today is another Crafty Sprouts stamp set recap. Today's feature is the Totally Witchin' stamp set. This set was totally perfect for these little Valentine treats. I so love how they turned out and I will positively be making more of them for school treats.

These cute boxes are from SVG Cuts "Love Me Do" set.

I hope you all have gotten some fabulous inspiration, during this recap, from my fellow DT sisters and some new ideas on ways to use these Uh-Maze-ing stamp sets in the Crafty Sprouts shop. It is so much fun thinking outside the box and coming up with new and fun ways to create with them. I hope everyone is having a "Totally Witchin'" day!!

Monster Kisses!!

Happy Monday everyone. The Crafty Sprouts Design Team has been having a recap of all the awesome stamp sets and today is my lucky day. I am going to show you just how awesome the Crafty Sprouts "Monster Kisses" stamp set is and how incredibly versatile. This set can be used for so many different occasions. It is just too cute.

My Peek-a-BOO mini card is going to be put on a layout for my baby granddaughter because she is just getting the concept of playing peek-a-boo and I thought it would be adorable.
The BEWARE Monster Inside card is for my grandson because he is in the monster movie (not too scary though) stage right now. He analyzes the movies he watches and says "Oma that isn't real because it can't possibly happen for really real." lol He is too funny and wicked smart.
GRRRR Means I love you in MONSTER is for my oldest granddaughter because let's face it she IS a total monster!! lol She doesn't like anything. She doesn't want you to look at her, touch her, talk to her or even breathe the same air that she does. She is 4 and stuck in the terrible 2's with attitude like nobodies business but she's mine and I love her to pieces. lol
Last but not least is my Sending you HUGE Monster Hugs card. I haven't decided yet who is going to be getting it or maybe I will just send some Monster Hugs to myself or I might just surprise someone. Ya just never know. I am entering this card in Peachy Keen's LFIF Color Challenge.
I hope you all have been enjoying this recap of all the truly terrific stamp set in the Crafty Sprouts shop. Have a great week and see you again soon.

Note Holder and Scrap Bag

I am a complete note junkie. I have post its all over the place. I saw a "From the Archives" project in the Splitcoast Stampers Inkling for a cute Treat Box but I turned it into a note holder and it works fabulously.
I used the "Imagine More" and "Imagine More Cards" cartridge to make some of the note cards but I wanted some that would work for longer notes so I used up a lot of my scraps to make more. They are held together with a brad and can be fanned out for more information.
"Giggle" "Laugh" "Smile" stars were made with the Crafty Sprouts "Smile On" stamp set.
I have had this handy dandy little helper for a while now but never really liked it because the scrap bag that comes with it isn't very big and I was constantly emptying it. I did take a big Hobby Lobby sack and hooked it on for a while but it was a hassle too so I finally decided to make my own and it matches my Expression cover. It is big enough to hold tons of scraps and washable if needed and fits nicely around the metal ring. In the words of Martha Stewart "It's a Good Thing". Oh as you can see in the pic I am also a Diet Dr. Pepper junkie!!!
