Flower Pot Cards

This was a Cricutless and oh so very simple project.
Spare Parts Silk Flower Brads
Twine from the Twinery
Distress Ink
EK Success border punch
Pink by Design "Life's a Garden" stamp set

My 1st Waterfall Card

The mother of my husband's boss is in the hospital so he asked if I would make a card for her and I saw the waterfall cards that SVG Cuts is giving away free with purchase. This card was so simple to make but yet it looks like it is really complicated. I added Stickles to the petals, inked the edge of the card and did tons of stiching. The sentiment is from Pink by Designs "Scripted Year" stamp set.

XOXO Gossip Girl

Okay I admit I am a teenager at heart. I love Gossip Girl, 90210, Pretty Little Liars.... I don't act my age most of the time. lol
I had been seeing all of the "XOXO's" around Valentine's and couldn't help but keep thinking about the end line from every episode of Gossip Girl so I had to make this card.

I watched the video by Janice from Cricutology on how to make the Free Standing Pop-up card.

Creative Team Call

Sharon at RS Mobleys Designs is having a Creative Team call. Her cut files are excellent and she is wonderful to work with. I have used many of her designs and love them. I have been on her CT for a few months and really enjoy it.

If you are interested please go and check out this post on her blog.

Material Girl Challenge

I have to say I have been in love with Loralie Designs forever. I have her fabric, I have a couple of her embroidery designs but I never knew she had a line of stamps until now.

Kristal from Getting Cricky with KAndrew is having a "Material Girl Challenge" and this is my entry.

I am not lucky enough to own one of Loralie's stamps so I had to use the closest one that I could find in my stash (an American Art Stamp from Hobby Lobby). I did however have some Loralie fabric and part of the challenge was to use a textile in the project. I ironed the fabric panels onto some Peltex to stiffen it up for a hanging and used my Bind it All to put it all together. I have a thin empty space on my craft room wall in between a cabinet and a window and this beauty is going to hang perfectly as soon as I get a 3M hook up there.

Cricky Across the 50 Blog Hop

A Big Cricut Hello & Chirp to everyone! Welcome to the Cricky Across the 50 Blog Hop hosted by K Andrew of Getting Cricky! If you are here from Kathy's blog "The Beautiful Life" then you are in the right spot. If you just happened along my blog and would like to start from the beginning head over to KAndrew's Getting Cricky! For this blog hop K Andrew is celebrating her big move across the country with a big road trip, and of course this hop across the 50 states! She has asked us all to post a little bit about the state we are representing, and then to post our Favorite Craft Project. I am representing the great state of:

For this project I cut the "Nebraska" from vinyl and the pioneer boy and girl and wagon came from Paper Doll Dress Up. I googled Nebraska state seal SVG and used my CRI-Kits gel pens and Cricut to make it on printable vinyl. Sorry for not originally including this in my post. Thank you "amayo" for asking.
Capital: Lincoln
Motto: Equality before the law
Flower - goldenrod
Tree - cottonwood
Bird - Western Meadowlark
Two huge and wonderful attractions in my area are:
(my home town)
(about 45 minutes from me)
We are also home to a GREAT football team. The Nebraska Cornhuskers represent the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The program has established itself as a traditional powerhouse, and has the fourth-most all-time victories of any NCAA Division I-A team. Nebraska is one of only seven football programs in NCAA Division I-A history to win 800 or more games. The Cornhuskers are the winningest college football program over the last 50 years, both by winning percentage and number of wins. This information came from Wikipedia.
We were also asked to share one of our most favorite projects and here is mine.
I used Pink by Designs January stamp of the month set, green crystal stickers from Cabochons and Bic Mark-It markers. Coloring brings out the child in everyone and I think that is why it is my favorite.

Now comes the fun part "Blog Candy". I am giving away a complete kit of CRI-Kits Glitter (10 pens + 1 carrier).  All you have to do is be a follower on my blog and leave a comment on this post. Easy Peasy!! I will post a winner on Valentine's Day!!

Please make sure to visit and leave comments on all of the blogs for a chance to win a number of AMAZING different Grand Prizes on Getting Cricky's blog, from these great companies: Scrap N Tote, Scrap N Easel, Cri-Kits, Creative Charms, Memory Miser, Scrappy Chic Cafe, Loralie Designs, My Pink Stamper, Peachy Keen Stamps, Cricut Town, The Scrappin' Table, Piktails, and Pink by Design.

Each of the individual blogs will also have fabulous giveaways (cricut cartridges, paper packs, copic markers, yourstory bundle, clear stamp sets, and tons more). Each blogger was extremely generous with their own personal giveaways.

Next stop on the hop is back to Kristal of Getting Cricky.

Wedding Candle

I love these candles and they are so much fun to make. They make a wonderful keepsake for the couple and hey let's face it, if things don't work out it can be great therapy watching the candle burn. I admit I have a touch of pessimism in me at times.

My brother-in-law is getting married on Saturday so I made the candle with their wedding invitation and etched their monogram in the base. I already posted about their card so if you would like to find the specifics you can click HERE.
To make the candle I taped a piece of tissue paper to a piece of printer paper and copied their wedding invitation in my printer. Then I cut the tissue paper close to the printing and put it on the candle and wrapped the candle with wax paper. I used my heat gun and ran it across where the tissue paper was and the candle wax melted into the tissue paper. Easy Peasy!!

Family Poster & Valentines

Sheesh schools just keep folks hoppin' these days. LOL
Bryce came home with another poster board with a note attached saying we were to make a family poster. What a cool idea!! They will be displaying them at parent/teacher conferences.

He picked a robot from the Robotz cartridge (he loved the way it turned out) and a bunch of letter stickers to spell his name (i blued out his last name). We used Pink by Design "All in the Family" and Oh Boy" stamp sets.
These are the Valentines for his class party. I saw a video on youtube from a Stampin' Up rep on how to make these matchbook M&M treats. I used Emma's "You Had Me At Chocolate" stamp set for the sentiment and I love that she included a "TEACHER" stamp.
